Knowles empowers others to go beyond conventional thinking and ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved, having due regard to political realities and wide ranging stakeholder needs. Knowles Tivendale currently sits on three committees of the U.S. Transportation Research Board (TRB) including: Transportation and Land Development Committee (ADD30) Public Transportation Planning and Development Committee (AP025) - Secretary Ferry Transportation Committee (APO85). Knowles is also a sessional university lecturer in transport, land use and mobility at LaTrobe University and Monash University.
